What Proof Mode does

Proof Mode helps you create a reviewable, tamper-evident receipt of an AI-assisted action: what kind of action it was, what review checks you confirmed, and whether a receipt was signed. It is a decision aid, not a guarantee that an AI output is correct, safe, lawful, complete, or appropriate.

Personal work paths and agent briefs

The personal workspace helps you organize a desired outcome, evidence notes, uncertainty, options, a decision, and a bounded action. It does not independently research, verify, recommend, or execute that work. A copied agent brief contains the information you entered; review and remove sensitive content before giving it to another service.

Witnesses from outside systems

A local witness records a SHA-256 digest of exact bytes or text you possess. A matching digest can show that compared bytes are identical. It does not establish who authored the artifact, whether its contents are true or complete, when an external event actually occurred, or the state of a system Summit cannot access. You are responsible for lawful possession and accurate source-authority metadata.

Your responsibility

You remain responsible for anything you send, spend, publish, change, or share. Do not rely on Proof Mode or an AI system as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, employment, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions. Proof Mode does not automatically stop an outside application or agent from acting.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service for fraud, impersonation, harassment, unauthorized surveillance or access, illegal activity, evading another service's protections, or creating deceptive evidence. Do not submit information you lack the right to process.

Free beta and availability

The Personal service is currently a beta provided without a subscription charge. Features, limits, integrations, and availability may change. We may suspend access to protect users, the service, or others.

Founding access

Founding access costs $149 once, not a recurring subscription. It includes a 45-minute setup session, mapping for up to five personal AI workflows, installation guidance for the universal directive, one custom review profile, and reasonable adjustments requested during the 30 days after setup. It does not include custom software development or guaranteed integration with third-party tools.

Universal directive and proof packs

The universal directive is behavioral guidance for an AI system. It is not technical enforcement and an outside tool may ignore it. A proof pack communicates the recorded review outcome and may include a signed receipt; it does not authorize an action by itself or transfer responsibility away from you.

Refunds

You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase if your setup session has not occurred. We will also refund you if Summit cannot offer a setup time within 14 days of purchase. After setup, the service is non-refundable except where law requires otherwise.

Receipts and signatures

A valid cryptographic signature can reveal whether receipt data changed after signing and can commit to an attached witness root. It does not establish that underlying evidence was true or complete, that the AI reasoned correctly, that an inaccessible system was in a claimed state, or that a court or other third party will accept the record.

Warranty and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the beta is provided “as is” without warranties. Summit is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from the service. Summit's total liability for a paid claim is limited to the amount you paid for founding access. Some jurisdictions do not allow every limitation, so those limits apply only as far as permitted.

Relationship to other companies

Proof Mode is an independent Summit Cognitive product. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI or Work Louder. Your use of third-party products remains subject to their terms.
